Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Karachi chapter’s leaders announced that MWM has launched a campaign for uninterrupted supply of electricity to Karachiites that is being denied by the corrupt management of K-Electric.

Allama Mubashir Hassan, Mir Taqi Zafar, Allama Ali Anwar, Ahsan Rizvi and other office bearers criticized the K-Electric management for hours-long power outages in almost all parts of Karachi and demanded that K-E management should be held accountable and its accounts must be audited.
“K-Electric was sold out at the throw-away price of rupees 21 billion but till to date, the private company has earned huge profit amounting rupees 60500 billion and its accounts have not been audited for last nine years,” Allama Mubahsir Hassan of MWM said at a press conference at Wahdat House on Thursday.
He said that K-Electric management has looted Karachiites by stealing copper wires, over-billing, metre-tampering, etc. He said the areas where KE’s recovery is 85%, are also suffering from power outages. He demanded that declared and undeclared power load-shedding must be brought to an end forthwith.
Allama Mubashir said that K-Electric cannot deceive people because all knows that it generates electricity through gas and not on furnace oil and despite that KE’s per unit price is much higher. He said KE management had sacked 5500 employees with one stroke of pen that has no match in the history of Karachi.
