Religious Authority Najafi rejects canceling the rationing

The religious Authority Sheikh Basheer al-Najafi rejected the Cabinet’s decision of canceling the rationing system, warning of big negative consequences when implemented.

In a statement to the press on Wednesday, Nov. 7, his son Ali quoted Najafi saying that he does not agree on the decision to cancel the rationing system, demanding the government to present an explanation for its decision.

Najafi warned if implementing the decision at present that big negative outcomes will result, such as increased inflation that harms the people.
