Three Bomb blasts in Iraq,12 injured

bom_iraqThree separate bomb explosions have targeted civilians and security forces in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad, wounding several people, including police officers.According to the Shiite News Correspondent,Local officials said on Thursday that roadside bombs caused the blasts in the rush hour.Three policemen and two passers-by were wounded in the first explosion, which targeted a police  patrol in the Ghazaliyah neighborhood in the capital’s west.

The second bomb went off near a bus station in central Baghdad. Hospital and police officials said four bystanders were hurt in the incident.In the southeastern Baghdad suburb of Jisr Diyala, the third attack left two officers and a passer-by injured and wrecked a police car.

Iraqi security forces have been frequent targets of attacks in recent months.The war-torn state has been the scene of unrelenting militancy since the US-led invasion of the country in 2003.
