More than half million foreign pilgrims to observe Arbaeen (Chehlum) rituals in Karbala

jos_karbala-pilgrimage-300x168 Amid the prevailing law and order situation of Iraq, at least 0.7 Million (700,000) foreign pilgrims are expected to observe Arbaeen (Chehlum) Imam Al-Hussain (AS) and his companions in the holy city of Karbala. According to the Shiite News Correspondent in Karbala, Ahmed Abdul Hussain, Director Karbala Tourism said that all of the 320 hotels in the city have been reserved by these foreign pilgrims who belong to Gulf States, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Pakistan, Iran, India, United States, Lebanon, Canada and African Countries. However, despite the threat of terrorism flocks of mourners of Imam Hussain (AS) continued to reach the holy city of Karbala from outside and inside the country on Tuesday to observe Arbaeen (Chehlum) Imam Al-Hussain (AS) rituals in Karbala.
