Iraqi Forces Regain Three Villages from ISIS in East of Qayyarah

The Iraqi security forces managed to retake three villages in al-Qayyarah District from ISIS, The Spokesman of al-Hashd al-Watani Mahmoud al-Sourji announced on Monday.

Sourji said in a press statement, “Today, Pesmerga forces backed by the fighters of Sabaaweyeen, Lahib and Jabboura tribes attacked several areas in al-Qayyarah District,” pointing out that, “The attacks were carried out in Qayyarah backed by the international coalition aviation.”

Sourji added, “The security forces managed to retake Kudaila Karmrdi and Khattab villages east of al-Qayyarah District from ISIS,” indicating that, “35 members of ISIS were killed in the attack,” IraqiNews reported.
