The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Saturday that it carried out 41 military operations, targeting US bases in Iraq and across the region using swarms of drones and barrages of rockets.

It also stated that its operations are part of a broader response to recent developments, framing them as retaliation and deterrence against continued aggressions that have resulted in the martyrdom of several Iraqi Resistance fighters.

Just today, three members of the Popular Mobilization Forces were martyred in cowardly three US-Zionist airstrikes on the Northern and East Dijlah Operations HQs in Kirkuk.

The Resistance has earlier stated that it is continuing its operations in coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing them as retaliation for the martyred leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei and part of efforts to expel American forces from Iraq and the wider region.

Since the beginning of the US–Israeli aggression against Iran, the Iraqi Resistance has targeted numerous American bases, foremost among them the US Embassy in Baghdad, American consulates, and the Victory military base.
Iraq protests US aggression on military hospital, threatens UN action
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed on March 25 the Foreign Ministry to summon the US chargé d’affaires and deliver a strongly worded formal protest following a US aggression on a military medical facility in the Habbaniyah area, which killed seven personnel and wounded 13 others.

In a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sabah al-Numan, spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, said the government and the military “reserve the right to respond by all available means in accordance with the United Nations Charter,” adding that they would not remain silent in the face of “a fully fledged war crime that undermines the relationship between the Iraqi and American peoples.”

He added that “such steps will only create further difficulties and obstacles to efforts aimed at achieving lasting stability in the region.”

The military spokesperson added that a comprehensive, evidence-backed complaint would be submitted to the UN Security Council and other relevant international bodies, emphasizing Iraq’s determination to assert its sovereign rights and defend its people in the face of these violations.
