Ayat. al-Najafi wishes he could fight on the frontlines against ISIL

Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, one of the most prominent Najaf-based sources of emulation, has met with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis (Jamal Ja’far al-Ibrahim), the leader of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, at his office for discussion.

His Eminence hailed the Popular Mobilization Forces, saying: “The members of the Popular Mobilization Forces are courageous and brave men who have purged Iraq from the ISIL filth.”

After noting verses of the Holy Quran and narrations from the Ahlul-Bayt (A), Ayatollah al-Najafi said: “I wish I could fight on the frontlines for the freedom of Iraq against the ISIL terrorists.”

The revered source of emulation stressed a drop of a warriors blood is more important to him than anything in the world.
