Iraq calls on EU countries to return citizens from Al-Hol Camp

Iraq called on the European Union (EU) countries to return their citizens from the Al-Hol camp in eastern Syria.

During a meeting held in the political and administrative center of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the Belgian capital, Brussels, Iraq’s National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji, reviewed the course of the government’s foreign policy agenda, Iraq’s strategic goals, and its stance on the latest developments in the Middle East.

In light of the extreme threat that the camp’s prolonged existence poses, the Iraqi National Security Adviser has reiterated Iraq’s request to the participants, who represent 32 European countries, to repatriate their citizens from the Al-Hol camp.
