Al-Sudani meets head of the electoral administration in IHEC

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today with the Head of the Electoral Administration in the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), Amer Mousa Al-Husseini, congratulating him on his new role and wishing him success in his duties.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Prime Minister Al-Sudani reviewed the IHEC’s preparations for the legislative elections in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, scheduled for October.”

The statement affirmed that,” the government has provided all necessary requirements for conducting the electoral process.”

The Prime Minister emphasized,” the importance of having a professional and impartial electoral commission that maintains its neutrality, as this is crucial for ensuring the continuity of the electoral process, which is the essence and a cornerstone of the democratic system.’
