Holy Shrine of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussein (AS) dispatches relief goods for People of Gaza

Shiite News: The administration of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) has announced the departure of the first humanitarian aid package for the people of Gaza.

According to Fars News, the news agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ahmad Hassan Fahd, Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) announced today that the first convoy of humanitarian aid arrived in Gaza on the recommendation of Ayatollah Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the representative of Ayatollah Sistani.

According to the Al-Furat News website, the aid package weighs 16 tons and contains medicines and medical supplies.

The administration of Imam Hussain (AS) Mausoleum had earlier announced its willingness to transfer injured Palestinians to Karbala and treat them in its hospitals.

According to Ahmed Hassan Fahd, the convoy will enter Egypt before reaching the people of Gaza in coordination with the Iraqi Red Crescent, the Egyptian and Palestinian Red Crescent and the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

He stated that this is the first step and other medical and humanitarian measures will be taken by Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) to provide relief to the Palestinian people.

He added that this aid has been delivered to the Iraqi Red Crescent Society. The administration of Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) had earlier announced its willingness to transfer injured Palestinians in Karbala and treat them in its hospitals.
