Iraqi Airstrikes Kill over 30 ISIL Terrorists in Tikrit

Iraqi warplanes hit the ISIL positions in North of Tikrit, Salahuddin province, claiming the lives of more than 30 terrorists.
According to reports on Wednesday, the Iraqi fighter jets launched several strikes at the ISIL targets in the area of al-Jazira, located between the district of al-Siniyah in North of Tikrit and the province of Anbar, and killed over 30 elements of the Takfiri group.

Iraqi military forces, backed by Shiite and Sunni volunteer fighters, have won control over 90 percent of Tikrit after inflicting hefty losses on the ISIL.

Yesterday, the army troops inflicted heavy losses on the ISIL in the area of al-Fatah, Tikrit, and killed nearly eight terrorists in their confrontation with the Takfiri group.

The Iraqi soldiers also gained major advances in the areas of Albu-Ajil and al-Dour, and managed to kill 30 terrorists and defuse 511 IEDs.

Some 30,000 Iraqi troops and thousands of allied Shiite and Sunni militias have been involved in a week-long operation to recapture Tikrit and other key towns and villages in the Northern part of Salahuddin province from the ISIL militants.
