Security forces kill key aide to ISIS leader al-Baghdadi in Diyali

On Wednesday, a security source in Diyali province said, that the Iraqi forces have managed to kill a key aide to the ISIS group leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi during a security operation in north of Baqubah.

According to Iraqi news reports, “In the late hours of yesterday, Iraqi security forces clashed with elements of the ISIS group hiding at the heights of a valley, located 3 km north of Saddul-Azim in the district of Baqubah,” pointing out that, “The army troops have managed to kill the top ISIS leader Abu Mu’mar al-Masri along with one of his aides.”

“Al-Masri is a key aide to the ISIS group leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Salahuddin province,” the source added.
