At least 11 people have been killed and 24 others wounded in several bombings in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad.

Police officials said the deadliest attack occurred on Friday morning when a bomb went off near a market in Baghdad’s northern district of Shaab. The deadly attack killed four people and wounded nine others.

Two people were later killed and eight others injured in another bomb blast at a commercial street in eastern Baghdad.

Meanwhile, a bomb near car repair shops left two people dead in downtown Baghdad.

A bomb blast near an industrial area killed three people and injured seven others in Baiyaa district in western Baghdad.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far. However, Iraqi officials blame the recent spike in such terrorist attacks on the ISIL Takfiri militants.

The ISIL militants currently control parts of Syria and Iraq, where they have been committing heinous crimes in the captured areas, including the mass execution of civilians and security forces.

Iraqi authorities have repeatedly blamed Saudi Arabia and a number of Riyadh’s Persian Gulf allies for extending financial and logistical support to the terror campaign in Iraq.
