Muqtada al-Sadr presses for US military withdrawal from Iraq

Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadr movement in Iraq, tweeted: “Attacking the diplomatic centers and targeting the cultural and diplomatic places will enter Iraq into a dark and atmosphere of violence.”

Muqtada al-Sadr stated: “Through political means and parliament, we must end the occupation and prevent foreign interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.”

An explosion at an American-English school in central Najaf on Friday morning caused extensive damage to its building.
