Supreme Leader: Sacred defense a great test for Iranian nation

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei here on Thursday referred to the eight-year Iraqi imposed war as a big test for the Iranian nation.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks while receiving organizers of the congress of 10,000 martyrs of Mazandaran province.

The 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war paved the way for flourishing the talents of the Iranian nation, the Ayatollah added.

The Supreme Leader asserted that the active participation of the Iranian youth in the sacred defense was the miracle of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The congress of 10,000 martyrs of Mazandaran province started in Sari on Thursday.
