Millions of Shiites reach shrines of Imam Reza and Imam Zadegan to commemorate Ashura

Millions of Iranian and foreigner Shiites have started reaching the holy shrines of Imam Reza, Bibi Fatima Massomah and other Imam Zadegan in all over Iran, latest reports said on Saturday night.

Iran has thousands of matami anjumans that are called Haiyat-e-Aza in Persian. The Noha Khwans are called Maddah-e-Ahl-e-Bait (AS).

Renowned maddahan-e-Ahl-e-Bait (AS) namely Haj Mansoor Arzi, Saeed Haddadian, Raza Tahiri, Mohammad Raza Tahiri, Mehmood Karimi, Mehdi Mirdamad, Abbas Haiderzadeh, Ghulam Raza Razazadeh, Ahmed Zain ul Abdini, Mehdi Salehshoor, Mujtaba Ramzani, Haj Kafi, Haj Noorai, Mehmood Tari, Haj Ahmed Chini, Haj Kazim, Raza Nabavi, Haj Saib Surkhi, Ahmed Naik Bakhtian, Majid Badkubeh, Hameed Alimi, Mehdi Mukhtari, Reza Helali, Murtaza Tahiri, Abbas Tahiri, and several others are reciting nohas.

Grand Ayatollahs, Ayatollahs and Hujjat ul Islam-ranked religious scholars are reciting “Shab-e-Ashur” Majlis (mourning congregations) at the shrines of Imam, Zadegan, martyrs graveyards and Imam Bargahs that are called Hussainiyeh in Iran. Eminent among them is Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamdani, Grand Ayatollah Nasir Makaram Shirazi, Grand Ayatollah, Alavi Gurgani, Waheed Khurasani, Habibullah Farehzad, Dr Rafi’ee, Reza Panahiyan, Haj Naqviyan, Hameed Mir Baqeri, Fatemi Niya, Rashid Yazdi, Adil Adib Yazdi, Hashemi Nejad, Ali Reza Rejali Tehrani, Dr Agha Tehrani, Haj Agha Bushehri.

Clad in black suits, Shiites and other azadars mourn the anniversary of martyrs of Karbala during Moharram and Safar every year.

It is also relevant to add here that great leader of Islamic Revolution and Islamic Ummah Imam Seyyed Ali Hussaini Khamenei attends mourning congregations at Hussainiyeh Imam Khomeini that he himself hosts.

Holy shrine of Imam Reza is situated in Mashad and of Bibi Fatima Masooma in Qom. Other Imamzadegan’s graves are also housed in these two cities. Apart from it, shrine of Ahmed Bin Moosa Kazim (AS) alias Shah Chiragh is in Shiraz. Shrines of founder of Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Khomeini, Shah Abdul Azim Hassani, Imamzadeh Saleh, Imamzadeh Dawood and others are housed in Tehran.

Kashan, Miami, Neshapur, and several other cities of Iran hosts shrines of Imamzadegan. It is also relevant to add here that all other martyrs are also regarded as Imamzadegan because Imam Khomeini said: “Shohda Imamzadegan hastand” (Martyrs are children of infallible Imams).
