Imam Khamenei: Syria Has the Right to Defending Itself against Terrorism

The Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Imam al-Sayyid Ali Khamenei, said the US, Israel and those following them are behind the crisis in Syria that is aimed at undermining the resistance.

According to Syrian official news agency SANA, during his meeting on Friday with Prime Minister, Wael al-Halqi, Imam Khamenei stressed Syria’s right to defending itself and confronting the terrorist operations carried out by the armed terrorist groups.

Imam Khamenei reiterated Iran’s support for Syria in confronting the terrorism facing it.

He said some countries have incited part of the Syrian people for violence, stressing that this is unacceptable as there is no country in the world that would stand idle in the face of violent acts perpetrated by foreign-backed and foreign-funded armed groups.

Imam Khamenei highlighted that some of those who talk about the crisis in Syria do not realize the reality, nor do they have a correct vision of the situation in Syria.
