Imam Khamenei’s Remarks in Meeting with Pakistanâ€™s President

shiitenews_Imam_Khameneis_Remarks_in_Meeting_with_Pakistan_s_President The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has stressed that the only way to save Pakistan from its current difficulties is through Islam.

Speaking on Saturday in a meeting with Pakistanâ€™s president, Asif Ali Zardari, Imam Khamenei stressed that the only way to save the Pakistani people from their current difficulties and the only way to alleviate their hardship, is to hold on fast to Islam and to Islamic teachings.

In further remarks, Imam Khamenei pointed to an obvious threat from the enemies to Pakistanâ€™s national unity and territorial integrity, Â emphasizing that the real enemies of the Pakistani people who donâ€™t want to see unity among the Pakistani people, is the West led by the United States of America.

Imam Khamenei added: â€œIn the long struggle of the Pakistani people, a number of individuals played key roles and shone brightly, such as Mohammad Ali Jinah, and Iqbal Lahouri, but the main characteristic of the struggle of the Pakistani people was their adherence to Islam, and the Islamic nature of their struggle.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Imam Khamenei pointed to a common religious, historical and cultural heritage of the Iranian and Pakistani peoples, saying the Pakistani nation is a great nation with a long and deep-rooted history of resistance (struggle). The Leader added: â€œThe Pakistani people have an unshakable belief in Islam, they are committed Muslims, and their success and advancement is looked upon with great satisfaction by the Islamic republic of Iranâ€.

For his part, the Pakistani president, Asif Ali Zardari, said he was very happy to meet up with Imam Khamenei, emphasizing that belief in God Almighty, and adherence to Islamic teachings will lead to advancement of humanity, and overcoming difficulties.

Asif Ali Zardari, also referred to the struggles of the Iranian people, and their resilience, and withstanding pressures. He said the Iranian people and the Iranian nation have now turned into role models for steadfastness, resilience, as well as progress and development.
