Iran’s UN Envoy: Saudi Prince’s Remarks Prove Complicity of Riyadh with Terrorists
Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations Gholam Ali Khoshroo denounced anti-Tehran comments made by Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as a clear admission of the long-known complicity of the Saudi regime in terrorist activities inside the Islamic Republic.
In similar letters to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and President of the UN Security Council Elbio Rosselli issued on Thursday, Khoshroo “categorically” rejected remarks made by Salman, who accused Iran of seeking to “control the Muslim world”.
“His (Mohammed bin Salman’s) statement reflects an unveiled threat against the Islamic Republic of Iran, in violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, as well as a clear admission of the long-known complicity of the Saudi regime in acts of terror and violence inside Iran, the latest of which resulted in the murder of 9 Iranian border guards, by the Saudi-financed armed bands,” he stated.
