The 8th Intl Hosseini infant gathering held in 30 countries

The 8th international Husseini infant was held in one thousand cities in Iran and 30countries.Iranian women gathered their newborns at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla and the Mahdieh Mosque in Tehran to commemorate Hazrat Ali-Asghar (AS), the newborn son of Imam Hussein (AS), on  Friday December 10, according to the Shiite News.
Iranian officials have provided 300 thousand pair of clothes for infants and in this ceremony all newborns were worn the same clothes.
The six-month-old baby Hazrat Ali-Asghar (AS) was shot to death by an arrow that hit his throat while the baby dying of thurst was in his father’s arms on Ashura (the tenth of Muharram), which was the day Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions were martyred.
The ceremony also was held in some other countries including the United States, Canada, Britain, Denmark, Germany, France, Turkey, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, Bahrain, UAE, Lebanon, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, India and Thailand.
