Ayatollah Khamenei commends enthusiasm for Quran

“The increasing inclination in the society, especially amongst the youth, [to the Holy Quran] is a gift perhaps comparable to no other,” the  Leader said, addressing a gathering of famed Quran reciters in the Iranian capital Tehran on Thursday.

The Leader also recommended that people make an attempt to understand the concepts in the Quran and abide by them in addition to reciting the holy book.

Ayatollah Khamenei further pointed out that mastery of Quran translation would lead to a better understanding and interpretation of the teachings of Islam’s holy book.

The Leader made the comments on August 12 during a ceremony on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan in Iran.
