Enemy’s Attempt to Push Iran Back Into the Past Will Never Succeed, Says Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei

Shiite News: Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei said in a detailed message marking Sacred Defense Week and the second anniversary of the death of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah that the era to which Iran’s enemies seek to return the country has already passed and will never return. Referring to the Quranic chapter of Ibrahim, he described the Islamic Revolution as a journey from the darkness of disbelief toward the light of faith.

In his message, Ayatollah Khamenei recalled the period before the Islamic Revolution, saying that foreign ambassadors once dictated policies to Iran’s monarch, but the Iranian people overturned that situation under the leadership of Imam Khomeini. He said the enemy imposed an eight-year war in an attempt to undermine the Revolution, but Iran emerged stronger from the conflict. He further highlighted what he described as Iran’s current military strength and readiness, referring to the Strait of Hormuz and the reported willingness of more than 30 million Iranians to defend their country. Recent reporting also confirms that Khamenei made similar remarks about Iran’s military readiness and the Strait of Hormuz in the message.

Ayatollah Khamenei also paid tribute to Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, crediting their leadership for Iran’s present standing. On the second anniversary of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s death, he praised the former Hezbollah leader and said Nasrallah had raised Lebanon’s standing. He stated that Nasrallah’s “proud banner” is now in the hands of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem. Khamenei also criticized those who place their hopes in Israel and said that figures such as Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine would continue to be remembered, while their opponents would eventually be forgotten.
