Israeli Assessment: Iran’s Missile Capability Recovering Much Faster Than Expected, Rising from 1,300 to 2,500
Shiite News: The Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post, citing Israeli security sources, has reported that Iran is rebuilding its military capabilities—particularly its ballistic missile stockpile—much faster than expected.
According to the report, Iran had approximately 1,300 ballistic missiles in June 2025, a figure that had risen to around 2,500 by February 2026.
According to The Jerusalem Post, Iran has the capacity to produce approximately 100 to 300 ballistic missiles per month. If that pace continues, Iran could potentially restore its missile stockpile to the June 2025 level by early or mid-2027.
The Israeli military had previously claimed that it had damaged Iran’s military capabilities. However, the latest assessment reportedly points to Iran’s rapid recovery despite those claims.
