Arbaeen Movement Is the Lasting Legacy of Lady Zainab’s Eternal Message, Says Ayatollah Javadi Amoli

Shiite News: Grand Marja Ayatollah al-Uzma Abdullah Javadi Amoli said during a meeting with Iran’s Judiciary Chief, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, that the great Arbaeen movement and the culture of “Ya Hussain (AS)” are the enduring fruits of the eternal message of Lady Zainab al-Kubra (SA), who demonstrated that the voice of truth can never be silenced.

He explained that Lady Zainab’s historic sermons were not merely accounts of suffering but a powerful intellectual declaration against Umayyad oppression. Referring to her famous statement, “I saw nothing but beauty” (Ma Ra’aytu Illa Jameela), he said it reflects the principle that oppression is the responsibility of the oppressor, not of Allah, and that every individual is accountable for their own actions.

Ayatollah Javadi Amoli also spoke about the compilation of his renowned Qur’anic exegesis, Tafsir Tasnim, describing it as the result of forty years of continuous scholarly effort aimed at addressing new intellectual and religious questions. He emphasized that Islamic seminaries must continue rigorous research to respond effectively to the evolving intellectual challenges of the modern era.

The senior cleric further stated that judicial rulings in Islamic jurisprudence are based on legal evidence, testimony, and sworn oaths rather than knowledge of the unseen. He praised the sacrifices of the believers and those who defended the Islamic Revolution, describing them as manifestations of divine support. Drawing a parallel with the Battle of Badr, he said that just as divine assistance was granted then, Allah remains fully capable of supporting the faithful today.

Concluding his remarks, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli paid tribute to the martyrs of Islam and the Islamic Revolution, particularly the fallen leaders, and prayed that those serving the Islamic system would be granted the ability to safeguard this trust until the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF).
