Indian Religious Leader Goswami: Ayatollah Khamenei Was Concerned for Peace Across Humanity

Shiite News: Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj, the National Convener of the Sarva Dharma Sansad (All Religions Parliament) of India, said during his participation in the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that, contrary to certain negative propaganda, Ayatollah Khamenei was not merely a leader of his own country but a figure deeply concerned about peace, stability, and a better future for all humanity. He said that Ayatollah Khamenei consistently supported dialogue and peace over war.

He further stated that targeting and killing a religious leader is not only against humanitarian principles but also violates internationally recognized rules of war. According to him, if one religious leader can be targeted today, leaders of other faiths could face the same danger tomorrow. For this reason, followers of all monotheistic religions are grieving over this tragedy.

Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj criticized the United States and Western countries, saying that a true superpower is not one that merely possesses weapons but one that protects the world and humanity. He added that killing those who raise their voices for peace and human values represents a defeat for humanity.

Referring to the deaths of children and other tragic incidents during wars, he said these events reflect the decline of human values. In his view, people who work to protect human dignity and honor should be supported rather than subjected to violence.

The National Convener of the Sarva Dharma Sansad stated that Ayatollah Khamenei always supported individuals who struggled to uphold human values and stood against oppression and brutality. He said this was why they were inspired by his ideas and philosophy and would continue their efforts to keep his message alive.

He added that the Sarva Dharma Sansad delegation was among the first groups to travel to Iran to offer condolences. He clarified that they were not representing any government or political party but had come on behalf of people who stand for justice to pay tribute to a personality who had devoted his life to defending humanity.

Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj also emphasized strengthening the historic and cultural ties between India and Iran, noting that both countries share a centuries-old civilizational heritage. He mentioned his long-standing relationship with the Iranian Cultural Center (Culture House) in New Delhi.

Concluding his remarks, he said that Ayatollah Khamenei’s message of peace, dialogue, and humanitarianism has also become the mission of his own life. Even at the age of 82, he continues to travel to different countries to spread this message of peace and intends to carry on this mission in the future.
