Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani Issues Important Message to Arbaeen Preachers

Shiite News: Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani has issued an important message to the gathering of Arbaeen preachers in Iran, emphasizing that the movement of Imam Hussain (AS) is the spiritual foundation of Shi’a Islam. He urged preachers to effectively present the life, virtues, sacrifices, and unwavering loyalty of Imam Hussain (AS) and his devoted companions to pilgrims.

Ayatollah Sobhani said that the sermons and discussions of preachers should be firmly based on the Holy Quran, the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the authentic teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (AS). He advised scholars to avoid weak narrations, unauthenticated reports, and superstitions, stressing that Islamic teachings should be presented through rational arguments and Quranic evidence.

He further emphasized that a preacher’s personal conduct has a greater impact than words alone. According to Ayatollah Sobhani, qualities such as good character, humility, patience, kindness toward pilgrims, respect for different cultures and faiths, and answering questions with wisdom are essential characteristics of successful religious preaching.

He also urged preachers to relate the message of Ashura to the challenges of the modern world and the needs of the Muslim Ummah so that younger generations can better understand the true objectives and timeless significance of Imam Hussain’s (AS) movement.
