Black Flag to Fly Over Imam Raza (A.S.) Shrine for Two Days on 23rd of Dhul Qa’dah

ShiiteNews: A black flag will be raised for two days in observance of the reported martyrdom anniversary of Imam Raza (A.S.) on 23 Dhul Qa’dah.

Mashhad: Today, the green flag atop the golden dome of the holy shrine will be lowered and replaced with a black flag as a symbol of mourning. The ceremony will take place in the presence of the shrine’s custodians and servants.

Starting Sunday, the flag on the shrine’s golden dome will remain black for two days instead of the traditional green.
