Iran follows strategy of regional convergence in Persian Gulf: General Safavi

Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi made the remarks after visiting the armed forces defensive and security readiness in the Persian Gulf.

The presence of the foreigners in the strategic region of Persian Gulf and selling billions of dollars of weapons is aimed at making the region insecure and help the arrogant powers’ policies progress, said Rahim Safavi.

The armed forces of Iran enjoy the effective defense power, said he, adding security in exports of energy from the Persian Gulf will continue by Iran’s power.

The most important duty of the country’s armed forced is to defend the pillars of the Islamic Revolution, added he.
