‘The outcome is no longer in your hands’: Iranian official to ‘Israel’
The Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, warned “Israel”, stating that it has embarked on a path” whose outcome is no longer in your hands.” Azizi’s statement underscores Tehran’s position that any further escalation could carry consequences beyond the initiating party’s control.
In the same context, an Iranian official confirmed to Reuters that Tehran is preparing to respond to any threats following the US and Israeli attack on Iran, warning that the response would be decisive. The official described the anticipated retaliation as “crushing” and stressed that Iran is ready to confront any escalation.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions after the United States and the Israeli occupation launched an attack on Iran earlier today, marking a significant development in the regional landscape.
Earlier today, Israeli warplanes carried out an aggression against Iran in a significant act of aggression, with Israeli Security Minister Israel Katz framing the aggression as a so-called “pre-emptive strike.” The strikes targeted areas in central Tehran, with initial reports indicating that several missiles hit University Street and the Republic area.
Explosions were heard in the northern and eastern parts of the capital, signaling a widening scope of the assault. Iranian media reported that missiles struck Daneshgah Street and the Jomhouri area, raising concerns about civilian infrastructure in densely populated districts.
Explosions were also reported in Isfahan, Qom, Lorestan, Karaj, and Kermanshah.
