“West has no right to insult Prophet Muhammad on pretext of freedom of speech”

Deputy of Iran affairs in the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Hujjatul Islam Seyyed Hamed Alamul Hoda in an interview underscored, “West has no right to insult Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) under the pretext of freedom of speech, since such move is exactly the antithesis of the title of freedom of speech.”

Hujjatul Islam Seyyed Alamul Hoda decried the publication of blasphemous cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the satirical French weekly magazine, Charlie Hebdo and accentuated, “ insulting Islam’s Prophet (PBUH) is a vast project backed by Zionism and Western world and has been initiated in recent years.”

“The project of sacrilegious moves was not unprecedented in history,” said the religious cleric stating that the main difference between previous willful measures and recent ones lies in using new methods and ways such as exploiting media.

Deputy of Iran affairs in the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought underscored, “we have witnessed sacrilegious moves toward religious and holy figures or sites during history and more recently in western media.”

“Regarding the very fact that Islam Prophet (PBUH) and the holy book of Quran were of the main commonalities shared among Islamic denominations and sects, insulting them, obviously enough, hurts Muslims,” said Hujjatul Islam Seyyed Alamul Hoda adding it would be natural that Muslims react in such situations.

Elsewhere in his remark, the Deputy of Iran affairs in the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought placed emphasis on the importance of respect to other religious takes and thoughts.

The relies cleric underscored for defending religious ideas, the divine religion of Islam does not allow anyone to insult other religious sanctities.

Hujjatul Islam Seyyed Alamul Hoda went on and underscored, “defending the characteristic of Islam Prophet (PBUH) and sanctities of Muslims is counted as one of the main duties of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.”

The unity activist underscored the World Forum will do its utmost and spare no effort to take step in this area.

Regarding heinous act, the Deputy of Iran affairs in the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought urged Muslims not to headlong into violence and avoid making any impetuous decision.
