Guardian Council chief confirms Obama letter to Leader

Chairman of the Iranian Guardian Council Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati confirmed on Monday that US President Barack Obama has sent a letter to Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Speaking in a local ceremony, Jannati said that US president has called for Iran-US cooperation in international campaign against terrorism.
Ayatollah Jannati at the same time criticized the US Administration for abetting in the early stage to create the terrorist group.
Jannati said that the protests against the alleged vote-rigging to secure victory of former chief executive Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for the second term in 2009 had been sponsored by the United States, United Kingdom and the Zionist regime.
The cleric also confirmed that Obama has wished full recovery of Ayatollah Khamenei after the surgery.
The Wall Street Journal disclosed last week Obama sent a letter to Ayatollah Khamenei over Iran-US common ground in international campaign against terrorism.
