Iranian foreign minister Zarif meets Ansarullah spokesman

The Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met and conferred with Ansarullah Movement spokesman, Mohammad Abdul Salam in Oman on Tuesday morning.

At the meeting which took place in Muscat, Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed the on-going Saudi-led aggression against Yemen, the latest political developments and events on the ground in Yemen.

Ansarullah Movement spokesman, Mohammad Abdul Salam, also briefed Zarif on the on-going war in his country.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and a number of other countries have invaded Yemen and imposed a total land, sea and air blockade of the country for almost five years now, since March 2015. The war has caused a humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the Arab world.

The Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is currently visiting Oman, heading a diplomatic and business delegation to the country. He is expected to be back in Tehran on Tuesday night.
