Regime arrests individuals for filing official notice of peaceful protest

The Bahraini regime has arrested 3 individuals after they had given authorities required official notice for a mass protest organized by the opposition parties. The provocative measure was taken against the unilateral laws imposed on the people. Al Wefaq National Islamic Society, stated, ”The authority is using its power to punish these individuals through arrest. This step clearly demonstrates the authority’s intention to ban peaceful protest and assembly”.

Al Wefaq mentioned that it will write to the UN special rapporteur on gatherings and international NGOs about the authorities’ disrespect to freedom of expression. Al Wefaq demanded the immediate release of the arrested individuals who are held hostages in disrespect to fundamental morals of political activism.
