Al Khalifa forces detain young man in new violent raids

At least one person was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning as Manama’s security forces carried out a series of raids across Bahrain.

The young man identified as Mohammed Ahmed al-Akri was reportedly detained in the coastal village of Sadad after security forces stormed his home.

Online activists are reporting that al-Akri’s mother and sister were assaulted and his house ransacked during the raid.

Similar raids were also reported in the villages of Karzakan, A’ali, and Juffair.
