Top Shia leaders condemn terrorism by regime and shadowy outfits

Top Bahrain Shia leaders have condemned the terrorist attack by the regime and shadowy outfits and asserted that Shia Muslims pro-democracy movement detest such acts.

Following is the joint statement by the eminent Shia scholars Ayatollah Shaikh Isa Ahmed Qassim and Sayed Abdullah Al-Ghraifi.

We have been repeating for thousands of times that great human values cannot be realized through immoral means. Those who honestly seek reform will not take the harmful means to realizing it.

For the thousand time we repeat our strong condemnation to all acts of terror and violence whomever be the perpetrator. We strongly denounce such dangerous incidents that threaten the stability of the whole homeland.
Hereby, we reject and denounce all acts of terror and violence adopted by Al-Ashtar battalion, or the Resistance, which are both titles of unknown identity to us, which announced their responsibility for the bombing on Budaiya street on Monday 3rd March, 2014, and which resulted in the loss of life and injuries. We condemn and completely reject such destructive acts that have nothing to do with the peaceful popular movement of the people of Bahrain. We insist on the people’s adherence to non-violence which will never be abandoned until all legitimate demands are realized.
We call on the security systems to act responsibly and wisely in dealing with the incident and to not spread fear and terror among innocent citizens.
