130 Taliban Militants Killed in Afghan Military Operations

Some 130 militants were killed during Afghan military operations in past 24 hours, General Zahir Azimi, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, said on Thursday.

Azimi said that 130 militants were killed and 87 others wounded during separate military operations in past 24 hours.

Six suspects were also arrested during these operations, according to the statement.

Azimi added that six soldiers were killed due to bomb blast and enemy fire. The statement does not specify the location of the enemy actions.

Afghan National Security Forces are engaged in 21 large-scale military operations across the country at the time.
