According to Afghan officials, at least 52 people, most of them students, were wounded in the blast, Reuters reported.
Kabul is on high alert since Washington announced plans last month to pull out all US troops by Sept. 11. with Afghan officials saying the Taliban have stepped up their attacks across the country.
No group has claimed responsibility for this blast yet.
It took place in the western part of Kabul, a neighborhood that has been frequently attacked.
