Pro-Taliban journalists help terrorists make Shia journalists’ hit-list
Hit-list of Shia journalists has been made. The supporters of Taliban and their off-shoots working in the guise of journalists have helped terrorists make the hit-list.
At first, CID Police had nabbed some terrorists who had confessed they had made list of Shia journalists for their targeted assassination. Although CID kept secret this information from the journalists, they divulged it to some Shia leaders and scholars during meetings with them.
Intelligence agencies too are aware of the fact that Shia journalists are on hit list of the notorious pro-Taliban terrorists. Banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba and their renamed brands are out for genocide of Shiites across Pakistan. They have murdered thousands of Shia professionals including, doctors, lawyers, educationists and businessmen.
A Karachi-based Shia journalist who was a resident of Lyari was martyred in Lyari weeks ago. Mukhtar Zaidi who was martyred on Sunday night was brother of a Shia journalist.
It is learnt that Urdu daily Islam and weekly Zarb-e-Momin are the nursery for pro-Taliban and pro-takfiri journalism in Pakistan. Alongside them, another Urdu daily Ummat preaches similar ideology. Their workers work in the guise of journalists and they have helped terrorists to make hit list of Shiite journalists across Pakistan including Karachi city.
There are reports that nasbi elements within Jamaat-e-Islami are also close to said Urdu dailies and the weekly. The JI-backed Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (Dastoori Group) is also another organization that works against the journalistic norms. Some of its members too are close to takfiri nasbi terrorists. One of Punjabi Taliban terrorists arrested in Karachi was made member of Karachi Press Club due to backdoor efforts of JI-backed PFUJ’s members.
Unfortunately, neither government nor the intelligence agencies have taken any action against the terrorists’ anti-Shia plans.
