Quaid Millat Jafariya Mufti Jafar Hussain's biography worth emulating
Shiite News: Mufti Jafar Hussain (1914-1983) is one of the leading scholars of Pakistan. He was an orator, religious scholar, writer, translator, and political Shiite figure.
In 1948, he founded the Idara Tahaffuz-e-Huqooq-e-Shia in Lahore and was elected its first president. In 1949, he was elected as a member of the Board of Islamic Education. In 1979, he was elected Quaid-e-Millat Jafaria Pakistan in Bhakkar.
In the same year Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh Jafaria was founded and he was elected as its first head. Mufti Sahib’s leadership was very effective in preventing the implementation of the Zakat and Ushar Ordinance passed by Zia-ul-Haq on the Shias.
For this purpose, the Central Secretariat was surrounded. He was also a member of Islamic Ideological Council and Islamic Advisory Council. He died in 1983 and was buried in Karbala Game Shah, Lahore.
August 29 is the death anniversary of late Quaid Millat Jafaria Allama Mufti Jafar Hussain. His personality, thoughts, and exemplary character are special in the history of Shiite scholars, especially the blessed period of his leadership was the golden period of pride and prosperity of the Shiite nation.
Mufti Jafar Hussain, like his late predecessors, possessed the highest morals. People were devoted to you because of your simplicity, contentment, luxuries and distance from protocol. Despite being in a high position of leadership, simple living were part of your life.
Malik Naseer Sahib, the principal of Dar Uloom Muhammadiyah Sargodha, stated that one day in the morning, it was agreed that Qibla Mufti Sahib would come to the Madrasa.
He came to Madrasa in public transport with great simplicity and visited the students’ accommodation. His simplicity and honesty impressed us deeply.
Similarly, despite the busyness of the leadership, the excellent translation of Nahj-ul-Balagha and Sahifa Sajjadiya is a proof of your passion for knowledge.
In today’s era, it is important to follow his example for leadership to regain its lost position.
Today, the indiscriminate use of protocols, vehicles, buildings, and palaces as well as Baitul-Mal has unfortunately turned into a social disaster.
Mufti Jafar Hussain’s simplicity and kind morals are discussed in the speeches but that simplicity and honesty are not seen in actual practice, that’s why whether it is national affairs or our religious matters, we could not get back our lost honor.
The honor which was there during the time of late Mufti Jafar Hussain or during the time of Quaid Shaheed, has become a dream for the nation today.
Therefore, on the anniversary of late Mufti Jafar Hussain, we must all take a pledge to take steps to restore our dignity, reflect on our contributions and change ourselves to change the nation.
