Kurram Yekjehti Committee sit-in continues in Islamabad

Shiite News: The sit-in organized by Kurram Yekjahti Committee (KYC) in front of the National Press Club Islamabad continued on the 18th day. A large number of people belonging to Kurram district participated.

On this occasion, the painful events that took place were depicted with the help of arts and pictures. District elders and jirga members addressed the participants of the sit-in and demanded the government to take immediate and lasting measures for peace in Kurram.

Head of Anjuman Hussainiya Kurram, Jalal Bangash, said that fighting among themselves does not solve the problems, but will worsen them.

Ahlesunnat leader Abdul Khaliq Pathan said that now the problems should be solved together for peace.
Leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Allama Iqbal Behishti, Spokesperson of KYC Shabbirr Sajdi, Maulana Syed Arab Hussain Mian, Allama Syed Sibatin Hussaini also spoke.

Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Central Secretary General Nasir Abbas Shirazi, participating in the sit-in, said, “We have stood for the problems of Parachinar in the past and will continue to stand in the future.”

We are aware of the ongoing unrest in Parachinar, we will raise our voice at every forum.

He further said that the voice raised by the MNA of Kurram district is unprecedented. We want lasting peace in Kurram district and Shia-Sunni to live together.

Allama Syed Tajumal while addressing said that “We are repeatedly demanding peace and resolution of land disputes which is our legal and constitutional right.

The central leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Syed Zaheer Abbas Naqvi said that the law and order situation in Kurram district should improve and the government should take the demands of sit-in seriously.

Maulana Mian Syed Sadaqat Gul said in his address, “We are present in front of the Press Club, an important place in Islamabad. Our simple demand is that we can no longer fight or carry funerals. The rulers should accept our demands.”

Shabbir Babu, Zain Abbas, and Professor Shabbir Hussain also spoke on this occasion and supported the demands.
