More than 3 million and 367 thousand pilgrims to Iraq

Iraq Border Crossing announced entry of 3,367,449 pilgrims to Iraq during the last 18 days.

Iraq Border Crossing announced new statistics on the number of pilgrims who have entered Iraq during 18 days.

According to the Iraqi News Agency, Aladdin Al-Qaisi, the spokesman for the Border Crossing Authority, said that from August 6 to the end of August 23, 3,367,449 pilgrims have entered Iraq to attend the Hosseini’s Arbaeen pilgrimage.

Al-Qaisi added that during the above-mentioned period, 2 million and 221,070 pilgrims have left Iraq.

According to this Iraqi official, the entry and departure of these pilgrims was from ten border crossings: Safwan, Shalamcheh, Al Sheeb, Zurbatiyah, Manzaria, Al-Qa’im, Baghdad International Airport, Najaf International Airport, Haji Omeran and Bashmaq.
