Accused Faizan also said that he had committed all these murders out of hatred for the police because he was involved in a wrongful case by the police and he was very angry. The accused also said that he had met Abdul Rauf Gujjar of banned Lashkar Jhangvi in jail.

Rauf Gujjar paid a bribe of 6 lakh rupees and bailed him. According to the accused, he was released and sent to Khorasan region of Afghanistan, where he was given the task of killing 6 policemen.

According to the accused, he met a person named Asim in Afghanistan who gave him the task of killing policemen and promised him a job in Afghanistan on completion of the task.

Rauf Gujjar is none other than this character who first killed a Maulvi named Muawiya with his pistol in Lahore and then martyred Allama Nasir Abbas with the same pistol.

Some more police officers and Shia personalities were killed in Lahore so that a communal atmosphere could be established throughout Punjab including Lahore.
