Shiite News: The matter of suppressing the alleged incident of rape of a young child in Tandlianwala area of Faisalabad through a ‘Panchayat’ has been rejected by Punjab Police. A highest investigation of the matter has been started to punish the culprit involved in the child abuse.

The Punjab Police on Monday announced that the prosecution department will challenge the ‘discharge’ of the accused released by the panchayat and pressure from illegal panchayats will not be accepted.

National Commission of Child Rights Chairperson Ayesha Raza Farooq has demanded action against the Panchayat participants.

Earlier, Maulana Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer said on social media that a lobby is avtive in propaganda against the scholars is hurt by the acquittal of Maulana Abu Bakr Moavia.

The incident of alleged rape of a child by its teacher in Tandlianwala came to light last week after which it went viral on social media.

At the same time, there were reports of the intervention of some personalities and ‘reconciliation’ in this matter.

On Monday, the Punjab Police issued a statement on the matter. The statement said that the pressure of parallel judiciary and illegal panchayats in the case of attempted rape of a young child in Tandlianwala will not be accepted.

The statement said that IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar along with DIG Legal, SSP Investigation Faisalabad and SP Saddar Faisalabad in the case of attempted rape of a young child in Tandlianwala, met the father of the victim. The father of the victim was assured of full cooperation from the state.

“Punjab Police has fully consulted with the Prosecutor General Punjab Syed Farhad Ali Shah regarding this case, under whose recommendations the prosecution department will challenge the acquittal of this accused as the release of the accused was made possible under the pressure of the Panchayat in this case.

The release of the accused does not necessarily mean that the investigation process has come to an end.

“Punjab Police will ensure justice for the victim’s family without any discrimination or illegal social pressure from parallel judiciary and illegal panchayats.”
