Mominpura tragedy, progress report against Akram Lahori submitted to court

Shiite News: The progress report against Ajmal alias Akram Lahori, accused of the Mominpura tragedy in Lahore, has been submitted in the Anti-Terrorism Court.

Accused Ajmal alias Akram Lahori has been accused of killing 11 people by firing at a Majlis e Aza in Mominpura cemetery of Lahore 26 years ago in 1998.

Due to which 11 people were martyred on the spot, while dozens of people were injured.

The accused escaped in Potohar pocket. The then Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had assured the arrest of the accused. But Akram Lahori, who was arrested in another case, also confessed to this incident.

It should be remembered that Akram Lahori has been arrested from Iran a few days ago.
