Shiite News: Balochistan National Party (BNP) Chief Akhtar Mengal has claimed that former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had asked him not to bring a no-confidence motion.

He had convinced Imran Khan to dissolve the assembly and hold elections. He said this while reacting to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s recent statement.

Akhtar Mengal said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s dictatorial attitude had led to no-confidence motion against him.

If the PTI government had taken the opposition along, nothing like this would have happened. PTI’s attitude forced all the opposition parties to come together. When the no-confidence motion was brought, all the parties had agreed to it.

Akhtar Mengal claimed that former Army Chief General Bajwa had asked us not to bring no-confidence motion.

General Bajwa had convinced Imran Khan to dissolve the assemblies and hold fresh elections.

He said that when the no-confidence motion was passed, I was out of the country. Akhtar Mengal revealed that in the meeting with Mian Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore, there was a discussion on no confidence motion.

I had expressed my fear that the burden of bad governance of Tehreek-e-Insaf should come upon us.

Shahbaz Sharif feared that if Imran Khan was not removed, he would throw him out of the election.

The decision to bring no-confidence motion was taken by all parties of PDM in a unanimous meeting.

He further said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had also organized Iftar at Sindh House after the meeting.

It had decided to dissolve the government in June 2022 after the no-confidence motion.

After the collapse of the government, it was agreed to present the June 2022 budget by the caretaker government.

After Iftar we were called to a mess, where we met General Bajwa.

Asif Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Khalid Magsi and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were present in the meeting.

Akhtar Mengal said that General Faiz was the Corps Commander Peshawar at the time of the no-confidence motion. I have not met him.
