Imports from Iran increased to 16pc

Shiite News: In the first half of the current financial year, Pakistan’s imports from Iran increased by 16 percent. According to sources, imports from Iran increased by 13 percent in December 2023 on an annual basis.

From July to December 2023, imports from Iran were 487.2 million dollars, while in December 2022, imports from Iran were 78.6 million dollars.

In the same period last year, imports from Iran were 421.7 million dollars. Last month, the volume of imports from Iran was 89.2 million dollars. Pakistan and Iran recently formulated a 5-year plan to increase trade cooperation. Both countries have agreed to increase bilateral trade to 5 billion dollars by 2028.
