Shiite News: Islami Tehreek Pakistan (ITP) has started a mass communication campaign against the increase in the price of wheat in Gilgit-Baltistan from January 1.
Sheikh Mirza Ali, head of Provincial Coordination Committee of ITP Gilgit-Baltistan and senior leader of ITP Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Muhammad Ayub Waziri met with the officials of various political, religious, social and public organizations in Nagar Khas.
During the meeting leaders discussed in detail the public problems expected due to the increase in the price of wheat.
On this occasion, the officials of the organizations reiterated their determination to fully participate in the protest against the increase in the price of wheat organized by the ITP from January 1.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Mirza Ali said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have rejected the increase in the price of wheat, but the provincial government is bent on exploiting the poor people economically for the sake of the federal government.
The increase in wheat price in GB is tantamount to taking away the bread morsel from the mouth of the people, such decisions will be opposed by the public with power.
ITP warned the provincial government to withdraw the wheat price hike notification before January 1, otherwise, they will force the government through public power to withdraw the anti-people notification.
