Parachinar escaped major terrorist attack, foreign arms seized

Shiite News: Kurram Parachinar district was saved from a major terrorist attack and destruction, once again the attempt to smuggle a large consignment of foreign arms was foiled.

According to the details, on the special instructions of the District Police Officer Karam Muhammad Imran PSP, the Pewar police foiled the attempt to smuggle a large number of foreign-made weapons.

During the operation, the police recovered a huge consignment of weapons from a Vego pick-up vehicle while checking near the Dagu check post on Pewar Trimangal main road.

In a successful operation, the Parachinar police arrested the accused Hamidullah son of Hakeem Jan resident of Kotri Mangalhal Tandoori Sada, an arms smuggler driver.

Among the weapons seized by the police party, M-16 A4 barrel 9 pcs, M4 barrel 6 pcs, M16 machine gun barrel, 5 pcs, M-16 front grip 3 pcs, M-4 bolt 2 pcs, MM7 62HMG 1pc, SMG cartridges 5323pcs, M-4 cartridges 2210pcs, MG-1A-3 cartridges 1000pcs and 11pcs magazine M-4 included.

The police conducted a successful operation on secret information under the supervision of DSP Circle Mazhar Ali, Pewar police station SHO l my Ali, ASHO Jalil Hussain and Mumtaz Hussain along with police personnel.

The local police recovered the weapons from the secret compartment of Vego pick-up vehicle number LOK-4612, which were very skillfully hidden and the involved smuggler was taken into custody and transferred to Pewar police station.

A case under 15AA/17AA has been registered against the detained arms smuggler in Pewar police station and in preliminary interrogation he has confessed to the crime of smuggling arms from Teri Mangal to Lower Karam Sada and different areas of the district.

The arrested arms smuggler has been handed over to the investigation team for further investigation.

DPO Karam Muhammad Imran commended the police party for the successful action against the arms smuggler and issued certificates of commendation and orders of cash rewards and appreciated their performance.
