MWM, PTI announce to launch major movement against abolition of wheat subsidy

Shiite News: Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Gilgit-Baltistan have announced to launch a major movement soon, rejecting the government’s decision to increase the price of wheat and targeted subsidy.

An emergency meeting of MWM was held under the chairmanship of Syed Ali Rizvi in which it rejected the deliberate increase in the price of wheat and the targeted subsidy as a cruel decision.

Syed Ali Rizvi said that the government is making wrong decisions one after another, the deliberate increase in the price of wheat and the targeted subsidy is a huge attack on our people.

We will protest, if silence is adopted, the price of wheat per bag will be increased to 12 thousand in one to two years.

If the government will commit more atrocities, we have decided that we will go to any extent for the people.
On the other hand, according to a local media report, a consultative meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was held in a local hotel in Skardu, chaired by Muhammad Taqi Akhundzada, in which concern was expressed over the recent increase in the price of wheat imposed on the public.

PTI also decided to start a mass movement against the increase in wheat prices and targeted subsidy, and in this regard, PTI leaders and other political, religious, social and nationalist parties will be contacted, and suggestions will be sought from them to make the movement effective.
