Ulema meet with COAS: Core Shiite leadership missing

Shiite News: An Ulema and Mashaikh delegation held a five-hour long meeting with Army Chief Syed Asim Munir at GHQ Rawalpindi.

The delegations of all religious parties were among the participants of the meeting.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri and Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi were not present in the religious leadership of Shia political parties on this occasion.

Allama Muhammad Amin Shahidi, Allama Hasnain Abbas Gardizi, Iqbal Bahshti, Baqir Zaidi, Allama Iftikhar Naqvi, Hafiz Kazim Raza Naqvi, Allama Shabbir Maisami, and other scholars including Sabir Karbalai from Palestine Foundation participated in the meeting.

According to sources, the leadership of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen did not participate despite invitation.
